Zhang Zhengzhong, born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, was graduated from the fine arts department at Jiangsu College. Now, he enjoys many titles such as senior master of arts and crafts at Yixing Purple Sand Arts Research Insti tute, member of China Artists Socity, member of China Industrial Design Association, member of China Arts and Crafts Institute, member of Yixing Purple Sand Culture Research Institute, extra-scholastic instructor of ceramics department at Qinghua University, visiting professor of China Arts and Crafts Institute, title of “China Purple Sand Outstanding Youth Ceramists”. In 2004 he is granted as “China Purple Sand Twelve Elite”.
    His works featured with perceptual creation develop a school of his own in rational purple sand world, and he himself is honored as academism paragon merging tradition. His works repeatedly win prize at home and abroad.
    In 2001 his works 《sea wind group pot》won silver award at Third “China Arts and Crafts Master Elaborate Works Fair”：in 2002 《Annual Ring》won golden award at Fourth “China Arts and Crafts Elaborate Works Fair”:in the same year 《Sea Wind》and 《Star Universe》 were selected into “Sixth Cairo International Ceramic Crafts Double-Year Show”at Egypt, and 《Sea Wind》was collected at China Embassy at Cairo：《Fascine-bundle Three Friends》and 《Longevity Peach》are collected at both American Metropolis Museum and Hong Kong Tea set Museum：《Rotten Wood Can Be Engraved》is collected by Wuxi Museum： in 2003 《Heaven and Earth》won golden award at “Second National Ceramic Crafts Show”, 《Outstanding》won copper award at “Second National Ceramic Crafts Show”：in 2004 《Heaven and Earth》was selected into “China France Culture Year Series Fine Arts Works Show-Ceramic Crafts Show”in France and was chosen into “China Contemporary Ceramic Crafts Show”in Canada：in 2004 《Murmuring》was selected into Tenth National Fine Arts Show.
    Mangy newspapers and periodicals such as《People,s Daily》, 《Decoration》, Taiwan《Purple Sand Golden Sand》and Hong Kong 《Wen Hui Paper》have repeatedly reported his works.
